Clutch help
#1
Hi, my bombardier clutch has worn out and when i ride for long periods of time it does not work properly. I need to change it and i wanted to ask if anyone knows if the barnett clutch kit is any good. I read a little about them and some people say they are the same as stock, is it true? Is it better to just buy the stock one or do you think i should buy the barnett. Thanks and i will apreciatte all the hel you can give me.

The barnett kit is VERY! good. Everyone says get 60 percent springs but there is really no need if you dont dump the clutch at high rpms allot. My stocker went out almost instantly and i put the barnett in and had it for about a year or more and its still holding up to my abuse.....which is a fair bit and i just used the 20 percent springs that came with the barnett kit or whatever they are and didnt notice any diff in clutch pull......i have the 60 percent springs sitting in my garage due to me thinking i would need them..but nope.

Barnett plates/fiber or stock plates/fibers are fine......I agree with Holly, 60% springs help. Especially since many of us DS guys are slightly larger than other riders.
I run stock plates/fibers and 60% RW springs. Trust me it gets abused.
The motor can make all the power you want, but the clutch transfers that power to the ground.
Easy install, do a search I am sure you will find all the info you need.

I'm 350 and I feel like I needed the springs... everything I have read says that big guys need them for sure... Atvaddict01 is right though... if you are a smaller fella then the 20%'s that come with the Barnett will be fine.
