2006 Grizzly with a stalling at idle????? (Please Help)
#1
I got a 2006 Yamaha Grizzly (All Stock) and at idle it will stall after about 10 sec even after it is warmed up. Also it has only 20 miles on it. I also will get a sputter at very low throttle. Is this a needle setting (Lean)????? If I put the choke on a tad it seems ok. Any Ideas?????

Yes it's not a low idle problem I tried to bring it up a little no differnce. It sputters on light throttle and stall at idle after as little a 10 seconds. It seems lean because If I pull the choke a tad it runs better. I did clean the air Filter and it appears to be sealed.

This may sound strange, But I just fixed it. I took the air filter off and spray a little filter oil on the air filter and lowered the idle a tad and it idled. Took it for a spin in the yard no sputter and it's ok. Weird huh

Its posible the mixture screw (not the needle, that only comes into play at 1/8 throttle and more), may need a tweak richer. 1/8 to 1/4 turn out should be enough

Is that the one with the metel cap over it?
