Hi, I have had my 300EX for quite some time now. I took it to the Honda shop because the bearings sounded bad. Well to make a long story short, they say my axle is bent, axle carrier is busted, and rear brake caliper is gone. I think if the axle was bent i could have felt it but, that s just the way it is. Anyways they want $1,470 to fix it. That is ridiculous, I can't spend that kind of money on stuff that i can put together my self. Anyways i was wondering if anyone out there knew of the cheapest axle for a 300EX. I am gonna put a Lone Star axle carrier on it, but don't wanna pay $365 for the axle so please help me out. Thanks IF ANYONE HAS AN AXLE THAT IS GREAT CONDITION AND IS WILLING TO SELL PLEASE E-MAIL ME WITH THE INFO THANKS.

I would check the price of a stock axle or try to find one from somebody on the forum who replaced theirs with aftermarket. Maybe you could pick on up cheap.

Id try looking around, mabe post a classified wanted ad on here, the ebay wanted board seems to work pretty good if you keep posting stuff. Thats a bummer, dealers are such a rip off..

you have mail. A 400EX AXLE WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT WORK IN A 300EX!!!! the 300 uses a retaining clip and the 400 doesn't not to mention it just plain won't work.
