Bike runs strong up to half trottle after that full trottle does no good just revs out. Must be something electrical. Bike will only run around 20mph. Any help would be nice.

there is a small ring in the CVT variator clutch, take off the left footwell, remove the clutch cover bolts (8), remember where the one small one goes, then you will need an impact wrench, 17mm socket, hold the clutch with your hand and remove the nut, remove the outer sheeve and take out the thick "wedding ring", this ring is stopping the sheeves from coming together, you will get approx 7-10 more MPH out of it

If so, don't remove that washer.

If i am right the new kawa 90 is made by kymco.
Just bought a kymco 90 for my son and one of the restrictions is in the CDI unit and the other is a ring on the clutch CVT. I unrestricted just today the one on the CDI. There are two connectors on the CDI ,one with 4 wires and one with 2 wires .Both connectors have a light green wire, you just cut the light green wire on the 4 wire connector . NOT ON THE 2 WIRE CONNECTOR .It drove alot faster, i still have to remove the one restriction on the CVT.
My friend have a paper with the instructions how to remove that and can post it here later.
Make sure the kawa is the same as the kymco, i think it is , i heard kymco is making some atv for kawa and other brands.Check there is on the kawa CDI are the light green wires on a 4 and 2 wire connector.
Hope this will help you.TextTextText

I think they're Kymcos.
A very good machine.

They are definitely Kymco engines. I purchased one for my daughter and it maxxed out at 15mph. We dropped it back at the dealer today to have the speed limiter on the clutch removed. Are you certain that there's one on the CDI as well?

The kymco 50 and 90 have a limiter in the CDI for sure, don`t know how exact the same the kawa is.

In addition, there's some sort of additional baffle in the exhaust.
