yep-I definitely use them when I ride. Where I mainly ride, there is no cell phone service, so the majority of the riders use them as their main source of communication, especially if there's an emergency. I have both the Motorola and Cobra small hand held units.

 

My wife and I have been using the Platinum 900 for the last 2 years for both sleds and quads. They work great. Platinum 900

 

We have motorollas that we use for emergency communication. I have a 16yr old that likes to ride alot. When he leaves camp, whether by himself or with a friend, he has to take one with him. He also has to call us at least once an hour. It helps reduce the worry. We also use them for communication between RV's when we are traveling.

 

Not yet but it would be cool!
