Default TIMBERWOLF PROBLEMS

Hey guys, I have a 1997 Timberwolf that has some problems. The only way I can get it started is if I have the choke all the way out and the idler screw tightened all the way. Then it will cough to life. I can then back down on the choke but after being ridden for about 3-4 mins it just dies. It then cannot be restarted for about 10 mins. Also the carb leaks gas after it shuts down. It is leaking from the bottom of the float reservoir out of the attached tube. It will leak enough to drain the gas tank if I dont shut off the gas supply. I took apart the carb and cleaned it thoroughly. Still nothing. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

It sounds like the float valve is shot. I'd get a carb rebuild kit for your machine. Check Dennis Kirk or Rocky Mountain ATV.
