Default Problem with removing sprocket

I just changed all my brakes and i want to change the chain and sprockets on my 700r. I removed the chain and changed the rear sprocket. My problem is removing the front sprocket. I cant get the nut off. I dont have a socket large enough and i cant get it out with a pliers. Is there a special tool for this. If not whats the size of the nut 1 1/2?

Default Problem with removing sprocket

I just changed mine but I could not get a wrench in that small area. I went to a firends house and got a socket that fit. I would say spend the money on a socket I just can't remember what size it was. It also took an impack air wrench 1/2 at 125 psi to get it to move.

Default Problem with removing sprocket

Just changed to a 15th front sprocked today. U need a 36mm socket and an impact gun, works ez with no struggle or damage. Also to adjust Ur chain, U loosen the four rear axle bolts and then U stick a metal screwdriver in one of the 3 holes on the rear sprocket side. The screwdriver will keep the sprocket from moving and U push the quad forward to loosen the chain and backwards to tighten, then tighten Ur four bolts.
