Default First time buyer, ?'s inside.....

Getting ready to buy my buddy's Z400. He just got it last week but found a killer deal on a newer Yamaha 450, so he got that.
Anyways the Z has a 440 big bore kit in it and a Yosh full system, front and rear bumpers and nerf bars.
Is this quad gonna be reliable? What kinda maintenance am I looking at? Any thing else I should know?

Thanks!

Rule of thumb... Reliability is always a big question mark anytime you buy a quad with a lot of aftermarket goodies on the motor.

Hard to say on a used quad. A lot depends on how the guy before took care of it.

Will it be as reliable as stock? No, but have seen people with the bore kits that had very little problems.

While I doubt it will be as reliable as stock either, the Yosh kit seems to be decent. I agree that previous maintenance is key. Make sure you are running the proper fuel in it also if it is high comp.
