can I use 2006 TRX450 rear spring on a 2005??

They have a different part number, but I need one and just bought a 2006. I didn't realize they were different until after I ordered it. Will it fit OK???

I am referring to the rear shock spring

I would say it is risky. It might "fit" ok, but I would be worried about how it will effect handling. They changed the swingarm length in 06 so the leverage at the shock will be different, so it is likely they changed the spring to account for that.
