Default 25's on Hawkeye?

Has anyone put 25's tires on a hawkeye. I was looking at buying one but I don't like the short profile tires and there is not much selection in the factory size.

The Hawkeye is a good machine, the 06's had a few teething problems but that is all cured for 07. I have an 06 with over 1100 miles and just picked up an 07 LE today. A lot of changes on the 07, I have 25" Carlisle ACT's on the 06 and they make for a better ride and much better traction plus increased ground clearance. If I were buying tires today I would get the new ITP Terra Cross in 25", the engine pulls them fine.
The 07 LE comes with aluminum rims and 23" radial ACT's, I rode a bit tonight and it rides very good so there's another option for you to look at.

I read plenty on them, but seems most problems are straigthen out. A dealer near me has 06's way to cheap right now. I really like the new yamaha IRS 350 but for $1500 diff. the Hawkeye is a clear winner here. The dealer said that he figure the Hawkeye would pull the bigger tires good, he said that the Hawkeyes seem to be geared fairly low to begin with.

Here's 25" Mudlites on mine.

I'm going to sell mine in a couple of months after the end of year deals are over so i can get a halfway decent price on mine when i sell it.

I would not recommend getting one, but hey-plenty of guys seem to like it, i don't.

I Put 25 Inch Goodyear Rawhide tires on my Polaris Hawkeye,,They work great !
Mine is a 2006 4x4 and havent had any problems except for Jetting and the 07s have that fixed You will hear bad about them but Lets see A few Thousand have been sold and there are probally 5 or 6 people on ATv conn that have complained because they wouldnt climb a brick wall or do double duty as a submarine or carry 6 thousand pounds and drag a bass boat,,I weigh 200 pOunds and have ridden doubles on it and jumped and banged wrecked and flipped it and it still runs great ..I have Videos Posted on you tube..go to You tube and type in Polaris hawkeye and I have vids Posted by rickeyparker..forget that rattling Yamaha bruin it likes to get stuck and the vales need adjusting on everyone that is sold..The goodyears work great and it will still pull 45mph in 2 tenths of a mile and climb like a billy goat....RIckey

Not enough grip or tread depth for me.

Went and looked today. Dealer had one with mudlites on factory wheels and one with bearclaws on alum wheels that have a little more offset to the outside on them. Bearclaws are not my first choose, but they look good. Also heard they run a little shorter which might be good. (They looked shorter than the mudlites) Both were 25's.
