i think my tranny needs rebuilt but im not sure sometimes when riding it especially when trying to cruise down the road u pull up on the shifter and it wont engage so i have to put my foot down asnd pull up again it it usually will go up in next gear its a strange intermitent problem any ideas?

 

need to move your shifter up.. your foot is resiting on the bottom of the shifter... a constant mesh transmission can't have a pressure on it.. or when u go to shift it is just dead space.. it's like a fail-proof to prevent unwanted shifting from your feet resting on the shifter like what u are doing

 

You might want to check your shifter linkage for wear, also. Especially on a '91. Mine's a '97 and it needs replacing now. Also check the clamp where your shifter linkage connects to your shift shaft. Sometimes the splines on these will get stripped out. I dont think your transmission would be a problem unless its been abused. The Warrior transmission is pretty much bullet proof in my opinion.
