THIS CHAIN IS DRIVING ME CRAZY
#1
ok I have a 1994 ex 300 and I can not get the cain tight it has the 2 12mm bolts but thats it I wen't to the stealer and they could not even pull up a pic of the swing arm also there is a hole in the arm that looks like some type of oil goes there and if so what type thanks guy for your help also I don't know if that is there right arm for the bike

There is a picture on bikebandits.com.If that hole is on the very end of the swingarm,I think that is where a bolt goes that is a stop to keep you from spinning the bearing carrier past its tightest point. If your chain has been stretched to its farthest tightening point then you may have to take a link out of your chain.Hope I havent confused you.

There has got to be some adjustment. On 300ex,the whole bearing carrier that the axle goes through will rotate. The carrier is kinda egg shaped and when you turn it,it should loosen or tighten your chain

exactly qwoder...If the chain is tightened all the way and is still loose then the chain is strectched and is most likely worn...you could take links out but I would get a new chain along with new sprockets because when one is worn you change the others.
