I just recieved a letter from Polaris offering an extended warranty ( Polaristar Protection Plan). I was wondering if anyone purchased this additional coverage and how hard it was to get Polaris to honor the plan, it looks like they have a lot of lee way for what they consider a warranty repair after initial 6 month warranty expires. I'd like to have additional coverage but I have only heard horror stories about extended warranty deals ,but I don't think any were the ones offered by Polaris but by independent sources.....it's expensive but if they pay it would be less than a major component repair...Any ideas?

 

I know a guy who has had almost $10,000.00 Can. warrenty work done on his bike. It's an 04 700SP but it looks like an 1940. He has had everything from the axels to the frame changed. The only thing that is still the original is the motor. He has had a little trouble with the dealer, but nothing major. Last time he went out the handle bars broke off. Extended warrenty is great if you ride like a mad man.
