soften clutch

Does anyone know how to make the clutch softer when I pull it in because it gives me hand problems like it is.If it helps my quad is a 88 250x.

Try oiling or putting on a new clutch cable. You might be suprised what a difference this will make. Also, run stock springs and plates. Put on a perch and lever for a XR honda.

Look in some of the magazines such as dirtwheels.
There's a company that makes a clutch lever which is supposed to make clutch pull alot softer.

Hey Mike... I just bought a 2001 300ex and am having a problem with the clutch. Could you find me that company, sure would appreciate it.

2000 400ex (Hubbys quad)
2001 300ex (my new christmas present)

Look for a kink in the cable somewhere,that can make it harder to pull.

harden up....go to the gym

those bikes are a lot more fun to ride if you are physically fit

......admittally i have a beer gut, but i also have a physical job which is good excercise

.....my main problem is building the strength in my throttle thumb......i am working on it

+ when riding hard in rough trails, let your body flow with the bike......constant muscle tention in your arms, and the jarring can make your hands sore
