I changed the plug and still get some popping noise and a backfire every now and then. Any help would be great. Thanks Bull

Are you pressing the yellow override button on the left hand side of the handle bars?

it's not hitting the rev limiter, but it goes away when I press the reverse overide button. Should the reverse overide be used all the time when backing up?? Thanks

Yes. The poping you are getting is the reverse limiter. It's a safety to keep you from nailing the throttle in reverse by accident. You have to keep the button pushed the whole time to maintain full power in reverse. It's happened a couple times to me and most guys I know with an auto quad, that you jump on and forget your in reverse and you nail the throttle to catch up to a buddy or something. That reverse limiter is what keeps you from going over your handle bars by accident.LOL

if this isnt doing this in forward, then its the override doing its job.

lol yes I changed my rev limiter and it with my leg and my brother went over the handle bars ops you have to be careful when pushing the over ride to!

Yes just cut the black wire that goes to the ecm module and the rev limiter goes away. Its the first thing I do to my new rigs. That and the no 4x4 in reverse are very annoying. On my new 6x6 I was able to cut the black but couldn,t find the wire on the scematic that enabled the 4x4 while backing up. on my older polarisis I just had to move the purple wire and disconnect the black one.
