Default sportsman 500 exaust plug

my sporstman 500 is missing the exaust drain plug and is a little louder but I was wondering if this loss in back pressure would cause a noticable decrease in power?

That plug is actually for cleaning out carbon deposits from the arrestor. I know with mine out it back fired a couple of times which I can tell you can kill the flywheel key way in a hurry.
