Anybody had a rancher 350 crankshaft apart?
#1
I'm just wondering if there's a needle cage type bearing on the crank pin journal of the crank shaft (the lower part of the connecting rod) or if it's just a smooth machined fit between the rod and crankshaft. I'm not having any problems with mine, but i noticed while looking at a microfiche that honda sells the whole crank/rod as one whole unit, according to the fiche anyways. I'm used to working on 2-stroke stuff, havent had a 4-stroke atv crank down that far.

i'm not 100% on thins but i don't think so. i have replaced some on older atv's and it's one unit. you get the crank and con rod all in one. they are pressed together from the factory, i would guess you could press it apart then get the bearing and replace it that way. but not 100% sure on that.
