Default Belt break-in ?

I just installed a new belt on my 800, is there a break-in period or technique in how to break-in a belt or do you just let er rip from the get-go? It is a polaris belt. Thanks for any ideas.

RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT.

Just make sure when you install a new belt that you don't put it on backwards. You should be able to read the writting as you stand along side the machine CLUTCH SIDE that is.

Forgot one thing you should do is wash new belt befor installing. There is a release agent they use to help the belt release from the mold, just use hot soapy water to clean it. Do you have to NO, but should you? yeah it ain't going to hurt and may actully help.
