i recently bought an 88 250x i paid $250. it cranks first kick and is incredably strong and torqy. but in first gear it acts like it has teeth missing off the gear, in all the other gears it works fine. does any1 know how hard it is to replace or where i can get the parts?

 

you can get parts at any honda dealer but you must split the case. it is quite the job. i had the same problem with 3rd gear and had to replace 2nd and 4th while i was in there. if you are not mecanicly inclined i would recomend having a mechanic repair it. but take it apart first because the gears are pretty expensive. you dont want to buy stuff you dont need.
