Sportsman 700 EFI Clutch-Install Dalton Kit
#1
Want to install a clutch kit in our 04.5 Sportsman 700. This will be the first time for this type of clutch. Have worked on sport quads for years. What tools do I need? What advice can you share to make this easy? The kit has two springs and 3 weights.
Thanks in Advance.

the only tricky part is when you do the driven clutch , you need to mark the helix & the sheeve . if you don't you won't have the proper tension on the spring & you'll need a way to push the helix down while you undo the snap ring ,it's under some tension , it may not want to pop up at first ,but don't give it to much slack it will pop up , i used a piece of all thread in a vice & a piece of tubing (like a piece of old exaust pipe ,cut out so you can get to the snap ring) ,a big washer & a nut to hold it all down with. the drive clutch is easy ondo the 6 cover bolts & replace the spring . you can do the weights while you have the spring off!
