Now that's justice. Not sure about NY but around here,,, the chances of getting one back are slim to none. Glad you got it back in one piece.

if i was you ed,
i think i woulda took that one step further and camped out in my car with a baseball bat and waited for them to return, (have a talk with them..lol) drop the bat by their twitching carcus and then called the cops to run some prints and then maybe they could catch them

I know it isn't according to legal guidelines but I lean towards the course of action favored by my esteemed colleague itch. Something tells me that staking out the garage and waiting for the thieves to come back to claim their prize and then taking appropriate administrative action with the necessary implements of application would be more than satisfying but would provide society with more of a deterrent effect and deliver more justice than would ever be found in a modern courtroom.

Then again I'm all for stringing up vehicle thieves from the nearest tree so maybe I'm a little zealous on the subject. We (family and neighbors) use to do that with horse and stock thieves around here not so long ago. I can show you a tree they used that still stands.

Yeah, I can only imagine how relieved you must have been when you found it!!! Not much chance anyone is going to get arrested over it and not to go along with itch but sometimes old school justice is the best justice. No chance around here to get your quad back if taken to many places for it to disappear to and when was the last time you saw a cop at your riding area just stop you to ask if you saw a stolen quad???????

GREAT advice about the insurance though, at least you can get back riding again fast with a small investment with insurance!

By the way still using the same trailer and locking technique?
