05 500 HO FRONT DRIVE SHAFT
#1
I had a guy grab the front shaft on my bike and he moved it back and forth, he told me the drive shaft was bad. I know it always has been slack but it hasn't seemed to bother it any. No noise or problems . Now is this guy right or is he as usually just picking my Polaris a part? I keep it greased .

Is this the drive shaft that connects the transmission to the front axle? Or the front axle to the wheel?
if he can move the axle/cv joint axle that connects the front differential to the front wheel, it is probably okay-- they are designed to "slip" some.

does your have roll pins in the ends to prevent it from moving back in forth. if so are they missing or sheared off?

I'm going to jack it up tonight and pull the front wheel so I can get a better look, I blew it off the other night because this guy gets great joy out of picking apart the Polaris line, he is a Honda nut and everything else is inferior to him. I'll see exactly what it is doing and where this movement is I'll post tomorrow what I find. Thanks for responding I appreciate any imput I can get
