my quad is stuck in gear. anyone have any ideas what would cause this and a soultion to fixing this would be. im hoping its something not internal is it possible that it could be something thats not internal. cause im looking at my motor being pulled if it is just to take a look at this. its currently at the dealership and i want them to look for things that might not be internal cause i cant afford to fix it the other way and i love my machine. i orginaly put it in there to get the carb rebuilt and an electrical problem to get fixed. i didnt have a shift problem before adn it sat for a long time. so i dont know how this could have happen.

 

mine got stuck in gear last month, and i tried and tried to get it to shift, and i found out that i had knocked the lever into reverse when i put a new spark plug in. i pushed the lever forward, and it went right into neutral.

 

if thats what it is im going to feel dumb. i will call them at yami and find out if they checked that. i do recall playing with the reverse and its possible that might be it. but could it also be the shift linkage from sitting or clutch plate or something else. it sat for 10 months
