Iv been running 0w-40 polaris oil in my 2002 polaris 500 ho but i just noticed in my repair manual it calls for 10w-40. It says use polaris premuin 4 synthetic 10w/40 or 10w/40 motor oil.

would it be ok to run like castrol 10w/40 in it from now on?
do you think the 0w/40 would hurt anything?

 

i would think you'll be fine running 0-40 as long as its full synth. as the newer ones call for that. i dont know if i would run castrol or not. i would stick w/ the amsoil if your already using it.
