Default Chain fell off 97 polaris scambler 4x4

I just picked this wheeler up a few days ago and my chain is off the rear sprocket and lodged in between the rear sprocket and the rear sprocket protector. How can I loosen the chain and put it back on the teeth of the sprocket?

You can loosen the bolts holding the sprocket protector to remove it. Then reinstall the chain(if it's not ruined) and then readjust the tension as that could be why it came off in the first place.

To adjust the cahin you need to loosen the two pinch bolts that hold the axle housing in. The axel housin is ann eccentric and rotating it will tighten or loosen your chain.

them bolts are torqued.....................if you tighten them up too much you will ruin the bearings inside.............................

adjust chain tension and torque/tighten them bolts back up to the correct torque spec................
