i have a 03 sportsman 700 and the stator went bad and it has been on back order for over 2 months. the dealership says now it is passed due. Polaris did not think there was such a demand for them. Now its on back order again. I was wondering if anybody is having or had this problem or know someone who did ? nobody at the dealerships can answer any questions and know of a problem but as a consumer at least I can not find any phone numbers into Polaris inc. to complain.
this stator is only on the 700 and 800

 

I just checked and it says availability is 12-14-07.

does anybody know if there is going to be a recall on them since there seems to be something wrong with them if they can't keep them in stock and they are only on the 700 and 800

 

You don,t buy Polaris Stators even if they are in stock because there prices are criminal.

I belong to a Snowmolie forum and eveyone gets there Stators off of these guys. Stators galour

$150 and you will get it before you die of old age. How much does your dealer want,$300 or over?[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

The SP 700 Stator is in stock also. I would pay $150 out of my own pocket before letting a dealer have it sit for 2 months even if warranty payed for it.

 

My advice on RM Stator. I sent my xpedition stator back to them 2 times and each time they were rude and said there is nothing wrong with it. Well, after they replaced the coils the second time, it still didn't work. I bought a used one from another machine and it fired right up. These guys are not getting business from me again.

 

thanks they want something like $454 for it . I was lookin at a sp 700 stator on ebay and the part numbers didn't match so would it work or what will. i didn't want to take the chance of getting the wrong part because this quads my bosses it's not mine I use it at work on their farm. honestly i'd like to see them sell it and get a gator instead but i haven't got them into payin the 10,000 for it yet

thank s for all the help hoprfully this part will be in before christmas I was hopring that it would have matched with more to find a used part .

 

parts came in this week runs know polaris sent a whole new ignition coil,stator,cdi box and magneto runs good now
