Default ETON 90 PROBLEMS

Ok I thought I had everything fixed. I took it for a spin today. warmed it up for about 2 min.went for a ride down my 500 foot driveway turned around came back up stoped then went to go again and it diden't want to move.seamed like no power.I put it in the garage and about a hour I checked the compression and it was about 100 on a stock 90.now should I check it with a hot motor and see what the compression is?

I would compare compression readings hot and cold ,if the compression reading is worse when its cold, then you know you have a internal problem. If its a 4-stroke, check your valve clearance with the engine cold only.

Default ETON 90 PROBLEMS

We have an 2005 Eton 90R that was quitting when the throttle was pressed. Still being under warranty, took it back to the dealer and they said the problem was the ignition switch. Picked it up, it ran for a while and then it quit. Will not start at all now. Checked all wiring and checked the current which stopped at the CDI Box. From reading on the forums, decided to put a new CDI on. That didn't work. It will crank but no spark. What can be the problem?

Make sure your spark arrestor in the tail pipe is not plugged up....If thats not the problem it sounds like the engine may be too rich..How does the spark plug look?..Is the air cleaner clean?

I found out alot since I was on here with my question. It looks like it is the AC Generator Assembly. I found a website that actually goes through a troubleshooter. For anyone interested, here it is.
