Default Removing rear axle on 01 Recon

I am trying to replace a rear outer wheel bearing on my 01 Recon. I have removed the 2 large nuts on right hand side on axle and I have tried to drive the axle out with no luck.
Have I missed taking something else loose? I was told that all I had to do was remove the 2 nuts and drive it out. Well it is not driving.
Before I get rough with it and break something thought I would ask.

thanks,

You don't have a service manual?

No, I do not have a manual. Honda mechanic told me today that I was doing it correctly but I have beat on it enough to start mushrooming the end of the axle. He told me they are very hard to remove and there was no certain tool for it other than protecting the axle end, So now I am still stuck.
I am thinking about drilling a hole in top of the tube and filing it with penetrating oil and let soak a day or two. I can weld hole (or put in a small bolt) and change rear end grease to get any that gets past seal when I get finished. Thoughts??

You have to remove the hubs, right brake panel (brake cover) and drive the axle out of the right side from the left side.
Which side, axle bearing are you replacing ?

Left side outer, had a squeaking sound and when I touched the axle by the housing looking for the source it was very hot. I had made a short round around neighborhood getting ready for a ride the next day. Good thing I did, I would have been a long way in woods when it burned up the next day. I have a problem now but that would have been worst.

Fun... You may end up removing the seal and retainer ring, heating the bearing and working the axle both ways to get it to break loose

Got it out today, thanks for yall's advice. Bearing race was rusted to axle shaft, used a Dremel tool to cut it into and chiseled it out. It was quite a job. I will clean it up and put back together tomorrow.
thanks,
