Default Sportsman Problem, Any Thoughts

My 07 500EFI will quit running when you come to a stop. Then it is hard to get to crank again. When you turn the key and think it will crank it just dies. It doesn't seem to be struggling to turn over, it just won't start. You let the key go thinking it will turn over and it quits. When it's running it seems fine. No codes and the RPM seems normal. Also, I have noticed that at low speeds it will go dead unless you give it a little gas. The throttle cable is tightly connected and the battery connections are tight. 18 Hours and 25 miles. Any ideas?

I agree with Rick, check the ETC. I've had to adjust on mine before, I guess due to cable stretch or something.

The throttle cable is tightly connected

The throttle should have 1/16-1/8" free play!

What should the correct Idle RPM be on the 07 500 EFI. I wonder if mine is to low and that is causing it to go dead when coming to a stop?

mine was doing much the same. It would die when you quickly lifted off the throttle or got to a low RPM. Terribly annoying and hard on the starter and battery.

I finally adjusted the ETC and it solved it. Took a little trial and error but I got it adjusted just right.
