Default Leaking GAS 250 Jetmoto

Ok my bike was leaking gas when it would sit in my garage but when it would run it wouldnt leak at all. So i finally took apart my carb to see if i may have put something in wrong or maybe pushed the float the wrong way. Well i did replace Jets that raceway sent me to replace stock ones and ever since i replaced them it began leaking gas when turned off. I was wondering how to adjust the float or what could it be that maybe leaking gas. the float seems to move freely up and down but what could it be????? Well raceway said there sending me a new Carb but i like to troubleshoot and see where the problem might be. Could i leave the bowl off and see where it might be leaking fromor is that not recommended????

Thanks in Advance

The float wants to sit level with the carb upside down. You adjust its level by prying gently under the little tab that pushes on the needle. If you leave the bowl off fuel will leak unless you hold up on the float. When the float rises (as gas fills it up) a needle is pushed into a opening to stop the flow of gas.

Hey hows it going haven't heard from you in a while. Well i took float off yesterday to look at the needle to see if it was not damaged. It looked fine but it had some stuff on it could it may have been problem? Also the float when carb is mounted sits really low and is not level or anything. so all i have to do is bend the clip a bit where it connects to the needle right. Thanks for all your help
