What's the sense on a low end machine????</end quote></div>
Like disk brakes only belong on expensive ATVs? Except for Honda, most manufacturers offer "nothing but" disk brakes even on there little kiddy ATVs nowadays.
Not sure why these 4x4 kits would not work on the 2wd model they both use the same brake systems don.t they? Disks in front with drums in back.

My point is that the machine is probably worth $1,000 at this point. Sell it and get a new 420....and you will have disc brakes and a lot more!!!</end quote></div>
You will have the drum brakes once again with a new 420 from what I see.
In fact its worst of than the old style, the large drum housing is not even tucked in behind the wheel well, but is out in the open next to the rear Differential which causes its below average ground clearance.

For the record, the 420 has discs on the front. I presume that is what bigjake was refering to for his 350...front end! He mentions that he can find "4X4" kits, but a 2wd and 4wd are indentical in the rear....so I think it is obvious that it what he means.
I can't imagine why the 4wd wouldn't fit on a 2wd??? I would contact the manufacturer and see what they have to say.
