Just got a 1999 Sportsman 500 in shop which had no spark..Checked it out and the magnets had came loose from the flywheel...Anyone else experienced this problem???

 

oh yes indeed. I had a 96 last year the magnets broke off jammed up the flywheel and broke the key way to boot. I got lucky that the stator was ok. If you search this forum you will find other cases too. Mine wacked me 550.00 total for the diagnosis and repair. Mine still had spark so I was going nuts trying to find the problem!
