$3100 a fair price for a 2004 polaris magnum 330

I'd say it is about right. Here in Maine, my Bro-in-law sold his '03 Magnum 330, in great shape, with twice the miles, for $3,000. I think $3100 is a pretty good price.
Out of curiousity, what type of riding do you do? Me and my two Bro-in-laws are all good sized guys, I'm 280lbs, one is 260 lbs, and the one who sold the magnum 330 is 270lbs. I have an '07 Sportsman 700 EFI, Bro-in-law #1 has a Grizzly 660, and Bro-in-law #2 had the Magnum 330. When we were trail riding, the Magnum 330 had no problem keeping up. But when we would go up country riding hard packed dirt roads, Me and the bro-in-law with the grizzly would cruise at 40-45 mph, and the magnum 330 had a hard time keeping pace. It would do it, but he had to run it pretty hard, like 3/4 to 7/8 throttle all the time, while we were just coasting at that speed. He NEVER had a mechanical problem, and went everywhere we did. But he was much more comfortable cruising at 35 than he was at 45. It's a GREAT machine......I'd hate to see you wishing for more power later on.......

THanks for your feedback. This machine will be my and my family's first. So not too worried about the speed. (don't really want the kids to be doing more that 35 - 40 anyway).
I do intend to use it to skid some reasonable sized logs (say 300 - 400lbs) and will hitch to a small ATV trailer to carry some building materials up and down the hill to the lake.
Good to hear no mechanical problem.
