08 Arctic Cat 400 Power Loss
#1
Got a new Arctic Cat 400 auto, changed the oil at 100 miles. Now it seems to lost some power. I used the carb cleaner that came with the oil change kit, could that cause a loss of power? The shifter linkage came apart so I took it back to the dealer and told them about the loss of power. Of course they were no help they said it seeems to run fine. Any ideas?

What kind of oil change kit did yo use? Was it the AC kit? If so did your machine have dino oil and you switched it to synthetic? OR did it have synthetic and you switched it to dino? Sometimes that can cause clutch slippage.
Also, if you did not use an oil that is wet clutch safe OR if you overfilled the oil it could cause clutch slippage which could appear as a power loss. If you only have 100+ miles on it then you should wait until around 500+miles to really decide on a power loss. These engines really wake up once everything gets really broke in. I noticed a difference on mine around 500mi. Now I have about 15,000mi and still no complaints. If I am feeling frisky while hitting the throttle hard I can shift my weight backwards and pull up on the front handlebars and ride a small wheelie. But I have no reason do do this unless I am going through deep water/mud and I am trying to keep the intake dry.
