hey i got a lt 160 and ive trying to workl on it..but no we got it running the carb is leaking gass out the over flow.....we are losing lots of gass and with theis prices...well you know..iam trying to find out if i can plug up the over flow so no gas will come out....if i do this will it mess any thing up?


and ive just bought a battery for my eltrick start but when i try to start it with it ..it sounds like its not grabing the gear and only sping the starter motor...

Don't plug up the overflow, it's there for a reason.

Search and find why it's overflowing - most likely a stuck or misadjusted float. Also make sure that the gas lever is not set on "prime".

ok...so does any one know what is rong with my eltrick start...we got the battrey but it wont turn over the motor..it sounds like its not even grabing the gear to spin it

 

Pull the starter and see if it's bound-up or if the gear is stripped. It might need a new gear or just a cleaning/greasing.

 

ok...but when i take oit off will i have to take off the hole sied of the motor or just the elrtick motor to get to the gears
