200s throttle assembly....??
#1
I put the little circlip on the needle (third ring down) and placed it in the valve, but I can seem to get that valve needle holder clip to go in there? do I need to get some needle nose and squeeze it in there?
Just dont want to mess it up, thanks,
Monk

ok I got the clip that secures the throttle needle in there, but the needle is a bit wobbly, is this normal? I guess all that clip does is keep the need from backing out.
Any help is much appreciated.

Cool deal,
good to know that I did it right
Thanks again,

p.s
Do you have a 200s,x,r or m SMFREY? I was just curious because I wanted to know if you've ever "tweaked" the carburetor (the pilot screw and the throttle screw) and was wondering if you have the specs on that. I have the manual, but it's specified settings are not quite it.

I currently have
2- 82 Honda 110s both built fairly healthy and regeared
1- 82 Honda 185S stock but header and Super Trap had to jet Has 200S carb
I can look at what I did on that at home tonight (Notes)
I do make notes on all Mods to my bikes
1- 83 Honda 200X I think it is stock
1- 86 Honda 200X it is healthy fast but no 2nd gear will fix when 83 200x gone
1- 03 Honda 400EX both regeared exhaust opened with larger spark arrestor and revchip
I have found the older bikes almost always need rejet
On the 110s we have to drill jets
Thanks

yea I cleaned the carb up, sprayed the body openings out with carb cleaner, then blew them out with compressed air and changed out all the jets etc...
just wanted to get the specs on throttle screw and the pilot screw setting to get almost optimal mixture and idle .

On my trike
82- 185S I am currently running a 83-200S carb
As I could not make the origional carb work and I have tried switching back several times it no work
But
200S carb PD35S
ended up jetting to 102
Pilot screw at 1.5 turns
needle jet at first groove
stock idle jet
I am ideling at about 1450 RPM
I run Sunoco Purple mixed with 92 octain 50/50 so timing is advanced from mark about 6*
I am also running a Header and SuperTrap exhaust and have added 3 vents to the airbox
Otherweise stock it screems
Thanks
