Polaris X2 500 2007 - All Problems please help
#1
I have had this bike for over 1 year and have had nothing but problems. First it was the plow harness which was a battle in its own (went on for months), Then Electrical problems. Taking the bike back and forth to the dealer almost after every ride. Each time the dealer fixed what ever and stated that the bike should be good. My warranty ran out 7 month ago but finally the dealer see's this bike as a lemon and has started to replace **** for free. 3 weeks ago they replace the wiring harness everything was fine for about 2 hours until the lights started flashing on there own. Then a week later the bike ignition was turning on and off with out the key. Yesterday the display was going on and off my hole ride which was 4 hours and on top of that my winch doesn't work any more.
All I would like is the bike replaced with a new bike.
If anyone can give me any type of info or advise it would be appreciated
Post or even sent me an email at sambrigette1@shaw.ca
I want to believe in Polaris products but this is amazing. I have had 4 friends buy bikes this year and not 1 had purchased a polaris

Well, there are lemons out there and all manufacturers are susceptible. It would be unfair to say only polaris does....they all do and that is just a hard fact to swallow. YES the manufacturers should have more pride or whatever and should take care of us when this does happen, but unfortunately, it does happen and none of them seem to care. They all like to blame it on us. My dad spent over $500,000 on a bus as he took up RV'ing. Every time he takes it out he finds another thing wrong with it and it ends up back at the manufacturer (which is 220 miles away). This has gone on for a couple of years now. The repairs are starting to slow down since they have replaced almost every new item with another new one! So, it can happen to anyone. Unfortunately for you, it's you! You can try to call Polaris if you haven't already, but I doubt it will get you anywhere. I think it is pretty good of your dealer to stand behind it. I realize they should, but most would not! Good luck and hope you can find a better resolve!

It sounds like poltergeist activity.
Just kidding. I wonder if there are lemon laws for ATVs like there are for cars? If I buy a car and it's a lemon, I know it will either get fixed or replaced by a new car. There's no excuse for an ATV to have that many things wrong with it.

Ask the dealer to take it back on trade for a new one. Maybe you'll be out a bit of money but you're frustrated and the money lost would be well spent if the headach went away...right?

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. My 2007 X2 500 has been trouble free.
Lemon laws vary from state to state. I suggest your google "lemon law and (whatever state you live in)" and educate yourself.
I wouldn't bet, however, that lemon laws apply to ATV's, but I hope I'm wrong.
I was successful in having Ford buy back my 2000 F350, but it was an ordeal. Good luck.

What state are you in cause i'm in PA and a while back I came across a lawyer here in Pittsburgh that deals with this such a thing. Now there is no true lemon law but there is a consumer protection blah blah blah thing that can help you in this type of situation. If your not from here call a couple lawyers there and see what you come up with. If you do happen to be from PA let me know and I'll give you the info.
