Cleaned carb 1000 times (not easy to get at )

Only runs Good when the air filter and cover is off it runs great with cover off but cove on and all it does is booooooooog

need help as i am about to give up

 

If only runs good with filter and and air box cover off,sounds like too rich or too much fuel. Replace needle and seat after going through carb? Also check that intake tube on cover not being blocked by tank or foam collar if equipped. Can cut a little sharper angle on tube if in doubt. have seen this before where air tube blocked off air supply. Good luck

 

Have you had this for a while, or did you just pick it up?

If you just got it, you may want to see what jets they have in the carb, and check the needle settings.
