Default Won't stay running

Hey guys, new to the forum. Just got 2 new to me 4 wheelers from my mother in law about six months ago. Had a bunch of work done to carbs, new battery, new spark plugs, etc. One of them is a grizzly 600. I haven't used it much in the past 6 months. I did add sea foam stabilizer to the gas tank because I knew I wouldn't be using it much. Now I am in position to use it a little more but can't keep it running.

Put a new battery in it but it will only start if I pull out the choke. It will run for about 20-30 seconds with me holding the choke out and then will just die. It will not restart at this point. It will fire but won't turn over. If I wait a couple of hours or overnight it will start again and do the same thing and just die. Do I need to go in and clean the carbs again? It's almost like there is some gas getting through that will let me start it and run for a few seconds and then goes dry. I'm not very mechanically inclined...hehe but hoping this is something I might be able to remedy myself as I spent about $400 on it a while back.

Any ideas appreciated. Adam

Nope, no weird noises. Sounds just like when it used to start. No smoking whatsoever. It just must be getting enough fuel through the blockage to get it to turn over and then die I guess. Only thing I can think of. I just can't believe it is already clogged again after just having everything cleaned out THOROUGHLY. Man it would be nice if something would just work right once...hehe. I'll probably need to take it in someplace as I wouldn't know where to begin.

well still check the intake boot and try soaking the carb in a bucket of carb cleaner overnight

I had the same problem and had the carb rejetted and this solved the problem. They might have done something wrong on the carb when you had it worked on.

only starting with the choke on is a classic symptom of a clogged pilot jet, clean out the carb with carb cleaner and blow all the little passages out with compressed air. if that does not work check for intake leaks around the boots of the carb and airbox.
