Default 97 warrior 350 problems

My buddy has the Warrior.
It ran fine last week.
This week we went to start it, and it ran for awile in the garage ,but then it died.

We kept restarting ,and it would run for a sec ,and then shut off.
We sprayed starting fluid into the intake ,and that would keep it running until we stoped spraying.

I pulled the fuel line off of the fuel selector valve ,and it is flowing plenty of fuel to the carb.
Any ideas what may be wrong?

We also replaced the spark plug ,but it changed nothing.
Thanks.

does it run with the chok on?. well i would start by cleaning the carb really good. i had that happen to me and it was the pilot jet that was clogged. so give it a good cleaning. good luck!

that would be my guess as well. i bet it has sucked some trash into the carb and it has either caused the floats to stick, but id be willing to bet it has clogged up an idle jet. will it run while you are giving it gas?
