Kazuma 90 --- third battery
#1
I dont mean to complain, just need some help. I have been having issues with my sons kazuma 90 and the battery continuasly draining. I think that its a ignition issue. Its to the point that my son has only riden it about 6 times in the year we've had it. When it runs its great its just that I have to charge the battery every time to start it. If I dont run it for over a month then the battery wont even take a charge. Im on my third battery and at 50.00 a pop they get expensive.
I think that the ignition will not fully kill the juice from the battery and is almost always on electroniclly.
Jeff or General public.
Please help

Have you checked it for a current drain with the key off? A simple way to do it is remove the positive or ground wire from the battery and connect a 12volt test light in series. So one end is clipped to the cable and then you touch the other end to the battery. If the test light "lights up" at all (even if its really dim) you have ta current drain. ON a little battery like that in quad you should have nothing.

Thanks I'll try it tonight and see what the deal is.
If I do have a drain, any ideas. I was thinking of installing a bypass toggle switch to kill the current from/to the battery but both the iginition and the baattery have multiple hot wire to and fro.
Any help would be appreciated.
