Do i need Shim unders?

I just got a set of web cams with 435 lift and 260 dur , but now i dont now wich way to go. Do i need a shim under kit or can i keep the stock shim over ? and can i just bolt them in or do i need to get different springs or what all do i need to use the cams ?

not positive but seems i recall something about 425 being the biggest you want to go with stock springs. call woods or web they will probably tell you what you want to know and if not call the bom.

The stock springs have .085 clearance.
Thus to stay within a .050 safe zone, you can only have a maximum lift of .425"
HD shim over should be fine.
Did you call Web and verify that the camshaft profile ramps do not clip onto the outside edges of valve buckets?

I DON'T KNOW MUCH AND I CAN TELL YOU CONTRARY TO WHAT BOOMER AND OMR ARE SAying i have run a pami 760 with degreed stage 2 cams without shim unders and stomped almost all comers(with the excetion of that dang jeffrivercity) but if i was building now days knowing what i know i would listen to boomer and omr and go for the safe bet!!!!!!!!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] MY PAMI NEVER RAN SHIM UNDERS UNTIL THE PREACHER REBUILT IT AND INSISTED I PUT SHIM UNDERS IN.
