Default Wiring diagram for Polars Phoenix 2005

I need wiring diagram for my Polaris Phoenix 2005. Anybody that can help me with this? I couldn't start my atv because my battery was death. I started it with emergency kick and it was running for about 20min and it didn't charge the battery at all so it bought charger and I charged it @ 2A for about 4 hours. Next day I was worming up the engine and after few minutes it died. I found out that my regulator was burned. What could cause that?

If battery dead, shorting out/cant hold charge, could possibly cause reg/rectifier to fry. Current has to go somewhere.

Old post but just found it. My son had the same thing happen to his. I replaced the regulater (it looked melted like a bad light ballast) it was fine then. Then I found out that Polaris had a t s b or a recall on it I asked for a new one and as always they said nope if I had replaced it already.

Having the same issue with my sons Phoenix. The battery is not being charged and the headlights are dim. After about 1-3 starts the battery is in need of a charge. I need a wiring diagram and some knowledge as to how to test the stator, regulator, etc. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it! Can anyone give me some info on the recall?

Welcome to the forum! Can't remember a recall? 6 years a little far back, but sounds like the regulator/rectifier needs to be replaced like the owner on the last post did! You might check with a local dealer if there was a safety bulletin or recall on this. OPT

I had that problem one more time since 09 and I replaced the regulator again this time with an aftermarket and it's been fine. I cant remember who I got it from but I think off of e-bay and it was alot cheaper then a stock Polaris one. When you pull the headlight cover off and remove the regulator smell it if it smells strange then it's toast nothing else to check after that.
