Default BF750 belt indicator light reset plug wiring diagram

Hi All,

I bought my Brute used and it is missing the reset plug. I have ordered a new one, but would like to reset the flashing light. Anyone have a wiring diagram for the plug or know how to jumper it in the correct manner?

Thanks.

Mike

Get the service manual - that will be the best investment you wiould ever make for your quad.
Important thing is to find out why the light started to flash if you don't know yet.
> Belt worn out or damaged?
> Belt looks ok but is the sheave surface worn out which has same effect as worn out belt resulting in too high belt deflection?
> Is belt deflection/tension in spec?
> Is the belt switch triggered?
> If the belt switch is not triggered, then how?
In order to perform a complete tune up of the CVT system (which checks for all of the above), you would need the service manual. And it will show you how the plug works as a jumper for the connector under the seat.

Thank you for your reply Hayashi.

I do have a service manual and I do know how the flashing light was triggered.

What I don't have is a reset plug. It is simply not with the bike. I have ordered a new one, but wanted to know if anyone had a wiring diagram for the reset plug so that I could cobble up a temporary solution, or if anyone knew how to manually jumper the wiring to accomplish the same thing.

Unfortunately, the wiring diagram for the reset plug does not appear to exist in the service manual.

Thanks again,

Mike

Here is what you do:
> Locate the connector with Red/Wht, Brn, Yel/Blk & Blk/Red wire under the seat.
> Disconnect the connector.
> Place a jumper wire (ie. paper clip) between the Yel/Blk wire and Blk/Red wire.
Above acts as same as the reset plug is plugged in when trying to turn off the belt light flashing.

That's what I was looking for! I will give that a try this evening.

Good to hear that it worked. It 's a good idea to put some di-electric grease in the connector to prevent moisture/dust intrusion. A poor connection can cause Belt Light Flashing without the belt switch being tripped. Also, carry the Belt Light clearing procedure with you if you would be going on a long trip. Put it in a sandwich bag and tape it underside of the seat. It can be your life saver in remote places far from the civilization.
