Default Problems w/ 2005 Brutes?

I'm looking at this quad:

'05 Brute 750 w/ tires & winch - LOW miles
http://nh.craigslist.org/rvs/861408702.html

I've read that the first round of Brute had poor handling due to high COG.

Can anyone confirm?

Also, anything I should be cautious about when looking at this rig in-person?

Thanks!

Poor Handling?
People who say that are comparing to straight rear axle quads. That's not fair. Yes, it feels tippy and top heavy if you just got off from P650 or Yammie 700. For what it is, BF750 is OK. Radial tires improve the handling a lot.

What to look for?
Do search in this forum and you will find more than you can digest.
Basically CVT, electrical issue, anything flashing on meter, cv boots and joints, etc.

thanks for the info Hayashi.

I searched and it seems there are a fair amount of electrical issues with the earlier Brutes.

if given the choice of that Brute with mudlites & winch and ~200mi for $4,200 and a 06 AC 500 all stock with 1,100mi for $3,700... which would you choose?

> Electrical issues
You can easily mod to avoid such issues.

> BF vs AC
BF has more options and less mileage. 750 vs 500. Like old saying goes, there is no replacement for displacement. I'll defitnitely go with BF.
