I baught a 2002 polaris sportsman 500 and the digital speedo does not work or the needle is this common and is there a fix.I am going to order a manual for it but until it comes in I thought I would ask around any info would be appreciated.The odometer shows the miles on it but thats it no needle movement or digital read put.?????

 

If speed or miles not registering,but rest of speedo works,then just probably bad speedometer sensor located on right front brake caliper, runs up to speedometer,small plug in connector. #4010298 sensor with connector

 

Thanks I'll have to take a look at it going to have a good look at it saturday have to put a rear cv boot on first then I check that sensor.I've ordered a book should be in 5 days good thing to have.Thanks for the help I'll let you know if thats the problem.
