Default What is an automatic clutch?

Ok, huge noob question. But I've never been on an ATV (or any motorcycle) before. What is a manual transmission with an automatic clutch? Google and forum search comes up with nothing....

i there is no clutch lever, but you still have to shift with your foot, its also called a semi automatic

The shift lever is also the clutch lever. When you pull on it with you foot (down to shift down/up to shift up), it first disengages the clutch, then goes into gear and reengages the clutch when you let go.

It also has a centrifugal clutch, so you don't have to disengage the clutch when you stop.

It isn't the best system for high performance, but for utility applications and kids quads, it is excellent!
