yellow highlifter springs
#1
Hey, i install a set of the yellow highlifter springs, in the front of my 01 sportsman. this style has the split pin in the colar and the cv joint on the other side. but now my shock are toping out and there is very little supension, it harse. My worry is that my cv joint may not travel enough that its at the outer limits, it picked my bike up 2.5 inches from the old black springs. I feel it will be hard on front end parts. IE. Axels.
Any thoughts?
I here from reading the post that 2 to 3 inches is xstream stock.
Is there an inexpensive longer axel?
Thanks

i have highlifter springs all the way around on my foreman, my suspention still rides like stock. lifted my quad about 2". i still have plenty of front suspention travel. if your ride is hard, new shocks that are made for the springs make a heck of a diffirence. if your getting 2.5 inches of lift though that is IMO too much is you want long-gevity of cv joints and steering components. if you get shocks that will help overall suspention movement, but 2.5" of lift is alot for stock axles. unless you really need that much lift, tone it down to around 2" of lift. and by the time you put larger tires on it it should be plenty high
the only "good" longer axles i know of are from gorilla axles. kinda pricey
