Default Need atv with blade for snow

My sister and I live in the CO. mountains. We have a very long driveway that has to be plowed when it snows. We currently have an old GMC pick up with a blade but it is not long for this world.

We would like to get an atv that seats two in tandem. What brand do you suggest?

Thanks,

MM

polaris makes a 2x in 500cc and 800cc. and Can-am offers the outlander max in 400cc, 500cc, 650cc, and 800cc. all are specifically designed for 2 riders, front and back. and come with a seperait back seat-and back rest. ehter dealers can have a winch and plow installed, or you can do it yourself. statistically, can-am's have more powerful engines than polaris, or anyother model atv in the same cc range. but you are still takling alot of power no matter which brand.

hope this helps you out

Here are a couple links that may shed some light on this. Looks like lots of good reading.

Here is a Video of our 2 up 800. It rocks and we love it! Got a Moose country plow for it and it can push a good amount of snow. Not sure if it can handle your CO kinda snow but I know I can push a few feet of it if you make a few passes. The truck is heavy so it can push more.

Arctic Cat makes 2-up machines too but if I was getting a 2-up quad it would be a Sportsman X2 800 or Sportsman Touring 800.

All great Machines...

I'm a ***** when it comes to quads... I don't bleed any color for very long, I just like to ride ride ride lol.

As long as it's not extreme crap from China you'll be good with whatever you choose!

I agree with JF, but would like to add that IMO the Polaris 4x4 system is better!

One of my neighbors saw me plowing yesterday and I showed him how my plow comes off and goes back on in just seconds, now he wants an ATV and plow like mine.

Don't forget to check your local laws... of you go into tthe street (if it's allowed) you will likely need a Light or a Light Kit.

Make sure to pick the right plow for the job too. For long driveways a Country Plow works great for rolling larger amounts of snow

Regular Plows work great for the smaller stuff (they can all be tilted side to side)

If you want the ability to cup the plow for cleaning up faster, a V-Plow is the hot ticket.

I've had all three kinda of plows both cycle country and Moose and I can tell ya Moose is built better, stronger and with better welds. I plow a lot with my quad... in fact I got about 5-7" to plow right now and that is where I'm going!
