i got this polaris magnum 330 that im working on and after using it for about a minute or so with the lights on it will backfire and die it will start back up if you wait a few minutes and it runs fine with the lights off but it only does this with the lights on any suggestions? greatly appreciated

 

if it only does it with the lights on, you might check all wiring from the light switch to the lights?......that is really weired? It seems like something is rubbing or something and it might be shorting out or drawing too much on a wire. So if it only does it when lights are on, just check your wiring....something mus be touching! keep us updated!!!!! and good luck!

Doed it have a good battery? A dead battery could cause it. Clean and check all connections at the battery and selenoid which is uner the left rear fender, I have seen the nut under the battery cables loose on the selenoid.

 

i really dont know much about these magnums but do theyhave a voltage reguletor? and i will aslo check the battery connection thank you
